Developed in collaboration with researchers, educators, disability networks, and community members, it brings together curriculum and multimedia resources to support learning in classroom settings and independent study.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1555\">Many of the materials in this Pressbook were first piloted in Fall 2024 in the <strong data-start=\"1228\" data-end=\"1295\">School of Disability Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University<\/strong>, where 51 students participated in lectures and facilitated community visits with disabled, Deaf, and mad people across the Greater Toronto Area. This resource includes recordings, interviews, and other multimedia content produced during that pilot.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1555\">Sections labeled <strong><span style=\"color: #792082\"><em data-start=\"117\" data-end=\"137\">From the Community<\/em> <\/span>feature audio and video clips created during the pilot course<\/strong>, highlighting reflections and insights shared by community hosts and other participants. In addition, <a href=\"https:\/\/pressbooks.library.torontomu.ca\/accessiblehealthcare\/part\/module-8-crip-futures\/\">the Pressbook concludes with <strong>a documentary and two podcasts<\/strong><\/a> developed with disabled, Deaf, and mad community members.
