Let\u2019s begin with these six major areas of our lives.\u201d<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\u201cIn each of these quadrants, place an \u2018X\u2019 on where you think you\u2019re at when you look back at the kinds of things you\u2019re doing or not doing with respect to your values. <strong>How satisfied are you with your own actions if you use your<\/strong> <strong>own<\/strong> <strong>values<\/strong> <strong>as<\/strong> <strong>a<\/strong> <strong>yardstick<\/strong> <strong>to<\/strong> <strong>measure?<\/strong> In other words, based on what you value and identify as important to you, are you satisfied with the efforts or action you have put into this area of your life? <strong>How aligned have your<\/strong> <strong>own<\/strong> <strong>actions<\/strong> <strong>been<\/strong> <strong>with<\/strong> <strong>your<\/strong> <strong>values?<\/strong> It is very important to note that <strong>we<\/strong> <strong>are<\/strong> <strong>only<\/strong> <strong>looking<\/strong> <strong>at<\/strong> <strong>your<\/strong> <strong>efforts and action, not the outcome of your action<\/strong>, not whether you are successful in achieving your goal in each of these areas.\u201d<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\u201cIf your actions have been consistent and aligned with your values, then you will mark your \u2018X\u2019 in the centre, the Bull\u2019s eye; if your actions are very different than what you value, then you will mark your \u2018X\u2019 in the outer circles. For example, you value self-care and you are not taking time to relax, not eating nutritious food, not <span style=\"text-align: initial;font-size: 1em\">getting enough sleep, and never going for a check-up, etc., you may find that your actions or efforts are not that consistent with what you value. He has dementia and yells at her every time she visits. For example, you value self-care and you are not taking time to relax, not eating nutritious food, not <span style=\"text-align: initial;font-size: 1em\">getting enough sleep, and never going for a check-up, etc., you may find that your actions or efforts are not that consistent with what you value.
