This open educational resource (OER) is designed for novice undergraduate healthcare students learning about infection prevention and control practices. Healthcare practitioners may also find this resource valuable as a review.\u00a0This resource is intended to:\u00a0<\/span>guide best practice in infection prevention and control,\u00a0<\/span>facilitate learners\u2019 knowledge about their role and responsibilities as healthcare providers,\u00a0<\/span>present strategies regarding how to break the chain of transmission,\u00a0<\/span>support critical thinking skills on how to prevent hospital-associated infections, and\u00a0<\/span>promote clinical judgement regarding when to apply routine practices and additional precautions guidelines.\u00a0<\/span>This project was supported and funded by the Applied Research and Innovation Centre at Centennial College.<\/span><\/p>\r\n \r\n\r\n The Infection Prevention and Control Practices learning activities is an open access resource that was developed to complement infection prevention and control practice content learned in academia and clinical environments.
