FIRST VOICE.<\/h2>\r\nI thirst, but earth cannot allay\r\nThe fever coursing through my veins,\r\nThe healing stream is far away\u2014\r\nIt flows through Salem's lovely plains.\r\n\r\nThe murmurs of its crystal flow\r\nBreak ever o'er this world of strife;\r\nMy heart is weary, let me go,\r\nTo bathe it in the stream of life;\r\n\r\nFor many worn and weary hearts\r\nHave bathed in this pure healing stream,\r\nAnd felt their griefs and cares depart,\r\nE'en like some sad forgotten dream.\r\n

SECOND VOICE.<\/h2>\r\n\"The Word is nigh thee, even in thy heart.\"\r\n\r\nSay not, within thy weary heart,\r\nWho shall ascend above,\r\nTo bring unto thy fever'd lips\r\nThe fount of joy and love.\r\n\r\nNor do thou seek to vainly delve\r\nWhere death's pale angels tread,\r\nTo hear the murmur of its flow\r\nAround the silent dead.\r\n\r\nWithin, in thee is one living fount,\r\nFed from the springs above;\r\nThere quench thy thirst till thou shalt bathe\r\nIn God's own sea of love.","rendered":"
