Pressbooks is an open source book creation and hosting software platform. At Toronto Metropolitan University we are using Pressbooks primarily to publish Open Educational Resources but we also use it to publish resources related to teaching, learning and research. Books can be read on the Pressbooks web platform and can also be exported in a variety of formats including:
- ePub (for use in iBooks and other ereader software)
- Print and digital PDF (for print-on-demand and digital distribution)
Pressbooks is used by educational institutions around the world as well as by authors and publishers.
