Research Data Management

A key component in supporting the advancement of Indigenous data sovereignty (IDSov) in social sciences research is understanding the dynamics of research data management in relation to Indigenous data and Indigenous data sovereignty. Through the use of systems such as TK and BC Labels, and appropriate research data management plans, research data can be managed in line with OCAP and CARE/FAIR principles, which supports, promotes, and ensures Indigenous data sovereignty and Indigenous-led stewardship of data.
