Representation

Efforts should be made to increase the representation of Black individuals and other marginalized groups in dietetics programs, faculty positions, and professional organizations. This can be achieved through targeted recruitment, mentorship programs, and creating pathways for advancement. Representation provides role models for students and professionals and brings diverse perspectives to the field.

Video 5.1: Researcher and Associate Professor Kafi Ealey discusses the importance of representation in dietetics and the positive impacts it can have on both students and clients.
